Today In the Skies...

Mercury at greatest elongation, 19° west from Sun (morning sky) at 0h UT. Mag. +0.1, low in the east-northeast, about 3° directly below Venus (-3.9) - from SkyMaps.com, sky calendar for month of August.

What that means is that if you have a good pair of binoculars or a decent telescope, you may just see the Moon, Venus and Mercury altogether in the sky this evening somewhere out there!... Maybe! ;-)
