Perseid and the Ghosts

The Hungry Ghosts month is picking up steam as the night today is filled with burning hell notes and joss sticks. The offerings of suckling pig, oranges, cakes, etc can be seen arrayed with splendour along the backyard of the food establishments that caters to 328 Laksa, Chin Mee Chin and the rest.

Meanwhile, I had plans for a visit to Fr Paul Goh's place to check out his telescope again aot gaze at some stars or planets. But the night sky may seem cloudy and the weather has been cold and wet the past few hours due to the afternoon shower a while ago :-(

The waiting for my telescope is really excruciating when I have the month's skies happenings and I can't have a chance to do any gazing at the goings on up there! :-P One of the interesting event that will grace the night skies for this month is the Perseid meteor showers. So, if you already have the resource to gaze up these nights, make a point to do so. You may not be disappointed! :-)
